Are you a professional software engineer with experience in application automation and deployment? If so, Parsons has an exciting opportunity for you! We are currently hiring a full-time DevSecOps engineer to work from our beautiful new location in Boulder, Colorado. This role is an opportunity to get in on the ground floor of an emerging DevSecOps environment and help drive technical solutions from design through deployment.

Responsibilities
  • Analyzes, designs, and develops computer software required to support hardware or technical service products.
  • Reviews system architecture and selects and implements appropriate development and support tools to ensure product performance.
  • Effectively engages industry stakeholders, government staff, and technical panels to perform monitoring and assessment responsibilities in support of mission-critical preflight risk assessments.
  • Participates in cross-functional planning, coordination, and task execution situations involving the full spectrum of system engineering and integration activities.


Required Qualifications
  • Must be a US citizen and have an active DoD Secret or Top Secret security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer sciences, math, or physical sciences from an accredited institution
  • 8+ years of experience delivering software solutions for aerospace or space systems with 2-3 years of experience in an automation or DevSecOps role
  • Proficiency with automation tools (Chef, Puppet, Ansible) and configuration management (git)
  • Experience with with Ruby, Python, or YAML
  • Experience with shell scripting languages (e.g., BASH)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Openshift, Platform One, or D2IQ Konvoy dev/sec/ops development/deployment experience
  • Developing and automating deployments in a virtualization, cloud and container technology (VMware workstation/vSphere/vCenter/ESXi, AWS EC2/S3/Glacier, Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift) environment
  • Experience with virtualized operating system concepts and administration
  • Able to work in a production/operational environment
  • Previous experience in an Agile work environment
  • Hands on design, build, test, and/or fault analysis experience with complex software architectures required
  • Knowledge of DoD space mission integration processes (space vehicle to ground control system, space vehicle to launch vehicle systems, space vehicle to range systems) and experience with risk identification and risk management
  • Must have strong trouble shooting and interpersonal skills
The anticipated annualized full time target compensation (median) for this position is: $140,000.00.Benefits for this position include: medical, dental, vision, paid time off and 401K.Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a security clearance.
