Job Description

As a valued colleague within the Single-Family Marketing team, you will create learning experiences across several modalities that prepare consumers to be more informed about the homebuying and mortgage process and also help our partners better utilize our platform, policies and tools. You'll be responsible for developing courses, materials, guides, and other training content that will empower learners in new ways. You'll help learners acquire the knowledge, skills and competencies needed to ensure sustainable access to homeownership and advance our mission to facilitate equitable access.

The Marketing and Communications - Instructional Design - Senior Associate role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:
  • Build and execute a training design plan based on learner needs, for both consumer (homeowner) and B2B (partner) audience.
  • Design and develop engaging and informative consumer learning solutions.
  • Conduct content and learner analysis to translate opportunities into learning and skill-building solutions.
  • Build relationships with cross-functional business partners to review and identify learning needs and understand impact.
  • Determine the criteria used to measure learning results, understand learner's performance and develop assessment methods.
  • Ensure project timelines, learning objectives, and budgets are met.
  • Ensure high quality and on-time deliverables to maximize the learner experience.
  • Maintain training content for existing programs to ensure it meets evolving needs. Continuously work to improve training content and processes.
  • Perform peer reviews, troubleshooting and offer best practices to resolve learning challenges.
  • Stay informed of training and design trends in order to make informed recommendations and maintain an innovative approach to education needs
  • Coordinate and deliver webinars, workshops, and/or trainings for customers.
  • Produce and maintain customer-facing training videos.
  • Launch and maintain customer education tools.
  • Support customer education research initiatives by working with sales, product, and marketing teams to develop new training content and materials.
  • Familiar with range of channels best suited for consumable content.

Note: Some travel may be required to support business unit meetings and/or training and events.



Minimum Required Experiences
  • 2+ years of related experience

Desired Experiences
  • Bachelor degree in Instructional Design, Communication Design, Graphic Design, Digital Marketing, or related field
  • 2+years of related consumer-oriented adult learning experience
  • Consulting, relationship management, and project management experience

  • Master's degree preferred. Area of study in instructional design, adult learning, educational technology, Business/Communications.
  • Exhibits career progression in the field of instructional design, and experience delivering learning solutions to large organizations.
  • Experience with digital marketing teams and/or financial services.
  • Proven experience in instructional design and with instructional technologies.
  • Knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with eLearning development tools such as Articulate 360; Articulate Storyline; Adobe Captivate; Vyond or Lectora.
  • Video/audio editing software experience.
  • Proven ability to manage individual workload with minimal oversight, multiple stakeholders and shifting business priorities.
  • Comfortable working across new domains to assess development needs and proven success navigating ambiguity with a self-starter attitude.
  • Ability to create realistic objectives, engaging learning activities, and compelling courses to enhance knowledge retention.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, critical thinking, problem solving, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Visual design skills (PowerPoint, Photoshop, Illustrator) and ability to storyboard.

  • Skilled in documentation and database reporting for the purposes of analysis, data discovery, and decision-making with the use of relevant software such as Crystal Reports, Excel, or SSRS
  • The group of skills related to Relationship Management including managing and engaging stakeholders, customers, and vendors, building relationship networks, contracting, etc.
  • Skilled in presenting information and/or ideas to an audience in a way that is engaging and easy to understand
  • Working with people with different functional expertise respectfully and cooperatively to work toward a common goal
  • Skilled in creating visual concepts, creating content, and editing content by hand or with the help with computer software to communicate ideas
  • Adept at managing project plans, resources, and people to ensure successful project completion

  • Experience running, monitoring, and updating LMS
  • Skilled in using Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Premier Pro, InDesign, Illustrator, Adobe XD, and Acrobat DC
  • Skilled in using video and audio recording equipment
  • Skilled in using Vyond
  • Skilled in Excel
  • Experience using Articulate 360 suite of products for eLearning
  • Skilled in using Snagit
  • Experience using Workfront Fusion
  • Skilled in using Microsoft Forms
  • Experience using SharePoint
  • Experience using LeanKit Kanban software
