Digital Analyst

As a Digital Analyst at BMO, you will help to further the understanding of customer behavior and experience across the bank's digital ecosystem, including websites and mobile apps. You will develop and maintain regular digital analytics reports, conduct both planned and ad hoc analyses, and perform deep dives to tell the story of performance and visitor engagement, ultimately producing insights that drive decision-making across the organization. To succeed, the Digital Analyst will enjoy working with multiple partners, have a proactive approach, and use their ability to tell and support a story based on quantitative findings. Technical and analytical skills will be essential as you work to make recommendations that drive decision making and tie customer online behavior to business objectives.

Responsibilities:
  • Act as a digital analytics subject matter expert and data evangelist, furthering the bank's understanding of customer behavior, experience and digital performance.
  • Adobe platform maintenance and vendor relationship management.
  • Design, build, maintain and validate digital analytics dashboards using Adobe Analytics to analyze customer behavior across digital properties.
  • Support a variety of partners with data extraction, ad-hoc reporting and in-depth analyses to better inform digital business decisions.
  • Generate actionable insights and make fact-based recommendations to help drive business strategies and tactics.
  • Develop and present data stories that distil complex analytical findings into simple themes that are appropriate for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate with business, product, technology, and other teams to determine data needs and transfer business objectives into metrics and KPIs.
  • Work with implementation specialists and analytics partners and verify the implementation and collection of digital data.
  • Regularly conduct quality assurance procedures to ensure data quality, including ongoing maintenance of reporting, segmentation and metrics.


Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in digital analytics (Adobe Analytics preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, economics or similar fields, with a quantitative focus.
  • Solid experience building digital analytics dashboards using Adobe Analytics data (Adobe Workspace)
  • Proficiency with reporting and analytical tools such as Power BI, SAS, SQL is a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of digital analytics concepts, including segmentation techniques.
  • Experience validating and debugging web analytics data, with an understanding of JavaScript and HTML.
  • Demonstrated track record of successful analysis of online visitor behavior and identification of digital optimization opportunities.
  • Proficient in data storytelling and presentation, including PowerPoint and other presentation tools.
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and visual) with the ability to cultivate effective relationships across cross functional teams (Business, Product, Technical, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous work environment.
  • Possess a strong curiosity and capability to learn in a discipline where tools, technology, and skills are constantly evolving.
  • A team player with strong analytical and problem-solving skills that holds a strong attention to detail and has high standards for the quality of their work.
