The Chief Investment Office's (CIO) Chief Operating Office (COO) is committed to being a trusted partner that delivers efficient and risk-smart operational solutions for investment activities. The COO executes this through 4 main functions: Core Operations; Investment Performance Reporting and Analysis; Risk, Governance and Administration; and Financial Reporting and Analysis. The COO relies on a talent-centric culture, with tech-driven operations to support the CIO by performing post-trade execution, performance measurement, quarterly close support, and operational risk activities.

The Core Operations team within COO is seeking a Senior Investment Operations Specialist to join the team. The role will primarily support the Alternative Assets Group but also will support the firm’s Impact & Responsible Investing team which invests in operating businesses and real assets that combine social impact and financial return. The position reports to the Vice President of Investment Operations. The candidate will be expected to:
  • Attend weekly Investment team meetings and stay up to date on recent pipeline activity;
  • Work closely with attorneys to provide data needed for the timely execution of deal closings and other requests;
  • Input pricing ticket data into internal system using details from CRM system and through communication with Investment team;
  • Act as liaison with Accounting and Operations departments for deal setup;
  • Coordinate with Operations and Settlement teams on wire transfers;
  • Transact transfers and equity sales through internal trade system;
  • Prepare allocations for new deals, as requested;
  • Provide cross-coverage, as needed, for other functions within Core Operations


Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, or business-related fields;
  • 3 - 5 years of accounting / financial analysis experience;
  • Sound understanding of equities, fixed income securities, and alternative investments;
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict reporting deadlines;
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills;
  • Keen attention to detail and excellent time management skills;
  • Ability to foster and build relationships across multiple departments;
  • Advanced Excel skills preferred.
