The responsibilities of this position will include:
  • Support and oversee quarterly actuarial forecasting activities for various Business Units (BUs), collaborating with Finance and Enterprise GAAP Modeling, as needed
  • Review forecasting results and assist with the development of the quarterly enterprise forecast story
  • Develop Liability Data Warehouse (LDW) 2.0 to centralize forecast results across BUs, creating requirements and collaborating with various stakeholders
  • Develop centralized and consistent reporting capabilities for forecasting
  • Support and maintain existing Actuarial Liability Data Warehouse (ALDW) 1.0
  • Provide forecast guidance to BUs for new and existing forecast issues
  • Foster a team environment that promotes and prioritizes continuous processes improvements
  • Support special projects and strategic initiatives
  • Coach and develop staff, including prioritizing and monitoring of work


Qualifications:
  • FSA with at least 5+ years of relevant actuarial experience, preferably with GAAP/STAT valuation and reporting in life insurance company context
  • Broad understanding and relevant experience with Life and/or Annuities products
  • Strong quantitative and analytics skills, including the ability to understand the concepts and asses changing situations in a timely manner.
  • Positive, team-oriented, motivated, adaptable, quick learning, and continuous improvement mindset
  • Strong collaboration and influence skills with stakeholders
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to tailor messages to a variety of audience
  • Attention to details when reviewing and preparing results
