BAE Systems is looking to hire a Business Intelligence Analyst team lead to join our team! The BI Analyst position is a key role within a new analytics group that helps build the future of reporting and analytics for our customers' mission-critical areas around law enforcement. This will be a 4 person team. Within this role, you will be able to combine tech skills with problem solving and leadership to build the solutions our teams and the customer need to succeed. The ideal candidate is someone who can combine a strong SQL and visualization background (such as Tableau) with the ability to foster relationships with stakeholders in groups such as the service desk, records management, asset management, program control, and project management. • Understanding how systems and solutions applications, business strategies, service delivery processes and data insights are best applied to solving customer needs.
• Possess the ability to translate business needs into technology based solutions, working with business partners and leveraging approved technology.
• Approved ability to use data modeling and analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities for our customer
• Demonstrated ability to present data insights as a story using visualization to nontechnical stakeholders for decision making and strategic planning
• Building reusable templates that could customize the output for nontechnical stakeholders
• Leveraging and utilizing predictive analytics & machine learning tools, techniques and platforms (MS Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, Azure Cloud, Python, ACL etc.)
• Ability to manage ambiguity and data to find improvement opportunities
• Successfully navigating customer culture/developing positive working relationships with stakeholders and project teams
• Stay current and educated on tools and methods related to predictive and advanced analytics that are industry standard



Required Education, Experience, & Skills
• Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of data analytics and/or business IT technical work experience with exposure to various technical environments Desired Experience
• Background in statistical data analysis (familiarity with Big data analysis)
• Experience working with databases and SQL skills to perform effective queries involving multiple tables and sub queries
• Proven track record of solution development across a diverse set of existing and new technologies to meet customer/ business needs
• Ability to communicate effectively with people of diverse technical backgrounds and across technologies, disciplines, and functions


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
• Background in statistical data analysis (familiarity with Big data analysis)
• Background in statistical data analysis as it applies to Artificial Intelligence application
