Role & Responsibilities

As the Sr. Project Manager, you will provide subject matter expertise and direction on complex projects and programs for Lincoln's Life Strategic Implementation and Customer Experience Team, including establishing and leading complex enterprise wide, cross-functional initiatives and leading different projects/programs including efforts to launch new products and services, large scale application development, systems integration, operational efficiency improvements and process reengineering.

Responsibilities
o Develops & executes complex effective project &/or program management throughout the project development lifecycle, including but not limited to: project planning, resource planning, change management and communications planning, cost benefit analysis & managing changes to scope.
o Responsible for leading cross-functional teams to determine necessary tasks and establish overall milestone plan to ensure management of dependencies across all disciplines engaged in the project/program.
o Ensures that the project/program schedule is accurate, updated, and reflective of authorized changes.
o Directs and delivers complex projects and/or programs conforming to project management standards and processes as designated by his/her assigned area of responsibility, including applicable change control and project management methodology.
o Identifies key cross-functional issues and project synergies; provides guidance with specific project issues.
o Collaborates effectively with management and appropriate project stakeholders on complex issues and conflicts that impact time, cost, scope, quality and risk of assigned projects/programs.
o Analyzes assigned project and/or program plans to validate if project outcomes will meet the business needs and align/support operational plans/objectives and recommends mitigation plans.
o Advises and collaborates with project owners and appropriate personnel to manage project/program quality and cost.
o Identifies complex project/program resourcing needs and facilitates the procurement of needed hardware, software and human resources for the project.
o Monitors and evaluates assigned complex project and/or program's progress and performance against the project plan and develops complex mitigation plans.
o Identifies and resolves complex project and/or program risks, dependencies, issues, and actions to minimize delays.
o Facilitates project/program communications with sponsors and other leaders/contributors.
o Serves as a subject matter expert to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on project and program management best practice standards, templates and practices.
o Utilize influence skills to help achieve desired business outcomes. Sets expectations and holds stakeholders accountable to the success of the project/program.
o Serves as a mentor and shares expertise with project managers and project team members.

Education, Experience & Certifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
o 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) (Minimum Required)
o 5 - 7+ Years of experience in Project and Program Management that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position (Required)
o 3-5 years of financial services industry experience preferred
o Confident, comfortable communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills.
o Strong presentation skills with demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of management through clear, informed and logical discussions/presentations.
o Ability to interpret and apply common sense understanding to carry out a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
o Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
o Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
o Demonstrated strong relationship management skills with internal clients (e.g. senior management, peers and colleagues); proven ability to develop creative and collaborative approaches.
o Demonstrates strong project and program management leadership skills including, critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, and meeting deadlines.
o Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
o Self-starter, works with minimal direction, can pivot to emerging priorities.
o Agile Management (Scaled Agile, Scrum, etc.) and digital transformation experience required.
o Maintains knowledge of Insurtech, Fintech, and technological advances in the industry.

CERTIFICATIONS
o PMP, Scrum, SAFe POPM (preferred)

Work Arrangement:

Hybrid/Home:Employees will work from home generally three days each week and come into a Lincoln office on a schedule their manager will help set, following any applicable in-office training period determined by their manager.
