We are seeking resumes for a Graphic Designer in our Chicago, IL facility. We are providing a unique opportunity to be a part of a team establishing an entirely different way to bring packaging and displays to market. As a Graphic Designer you will play a key role on the Design Team that supports PCA's customers. In this role you will collaborate with customers and other team members to evaluate customers' needs and expectations, design and alter graphics for packaging and to submit to customers to ensure they receive cost effective and aesthetically appealing design solutions per their expectations.

Principle Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for renderings and conceptual design of packaging/displays.
  • Work directly with structural designers.
  • Pre-press and correct customer supplied files.
  • Work with a state of the art high-speed digital press
  • Plan, analyze, and create visual solutions to market and communicate challenges to find the most effective way to get messages across in printed materials; using color, type illustration, caldera, photography, animation, and various print and layout techniques.
  • Develop the overall layout and production design.
  • Collaborate with other members of the Creative Design and Production departments.
  • Participate in team projects, as needed.


Basic Qualifications:
  • BS or BA in related field or equivalent experience.
  • Strong portfolio reflecting a range of designs that have been personally developed.
  • Proficient in graphic design and communication applications including Adobe CS5.5, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and other Adobe products, as well as Microsoft Office.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a larger design team.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Packaging and/or point-of-purchase design or related industry experience.
