POSITION: Maintenance Group Leader

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise construction/maintenance skilled trades personnel
  • Manage attendance of employees
  • Effectively utilize employees, materials and equipment
  • Implement continuous improvement and cost savings opportunities
  • Implement safety and good housekeeping practices
  • Implement divisional and corporate policies
  • Maintain appropriate records and monitor trades effectiveness
  • Implement lean principles
  • Provide leadership, support and feedback to skilled trades team with respect to goals and specific metrics
  • Support the Plant PM program


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High degree of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
  • High level of analytical ability where problems are complex
  • High level of oral and written communication skills
  • Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing maintenance systems
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment - as an active team member, group facilitator and leader
  • Ability to interpret blueprints/engineering drawings


DEGREE: Bachelor's Degree, Journeyman's Card or Management / Maintenance Related Experience
