About the job:

Daily job responsibilities include but not limited to:

-Successful operation of the DSIMS equipment: Magnetic Sector and Quadrupole (preferably Cameca instruments) addressing a variety of samples from Front & Back-End processing including compound semiconductor

-Coordinate with the Lead engineers and customer base to address workload timely with high quality data

-Interface with the customer base and assist throughout the process from job submission to data interpretation
-Individual must be thorough to ensure equipment is performing to spec and not causing a negative impact to quality of work, along with completing assignments in a timely manner

-Must follow all procedures and specs. Individual will implement basic corrective actions to address issues identified.
-Additional experience in operation of Surface Analysis techniques: ToF-SIMS, Auger, XRD and FTIR is a plus.

Minimum requirements
- Associates degree in Electronics or related field or equivalent military experience
- 7+ years of semiconductor experience operating DSIMS Magnetic Sector and Quadrupole equipment

In addition:

Identify potential issues with lab equipment and operations along with providing feedback to the lead engineer and manager on any suggested improvements in repetitive activities. Able to identify opportunities to increase current job assignment flexibilities and opportunities taken to expand your skills and knowledge of the equipment and related operations, either on the job or through other related activities. Implement equipment and procedural (specification) improvements to enhance operations which affects equipment availability, and operation processing procedures. Perform Safety/5S audits, identify improvements and implement corrective actions.

Management/Organizational Skills:
Ability to work multiple submissions and coordinate with other lab personnel and activities. Excellent attention to detail, and ability to follow documented procedures. Keep accurate records, recognize problem areas, and communicate effectively. Must document all process and procedures per spec to ensure audit compliance.

Projects and Deliverables:
Candidate must manage daily tasks in an efficient manner to minimize impact to lab output. All work must be completed per spec and clearly documented to ensure no impact to lab production. Must also maintain compliance of all safety training requirements and always follow procedures and guidelines.

Team and People Skills:
Perform in a teaming environment, interacts with vendors, process and equipment engineers. High level of communication, interpersonal, and teaming skills: ability to work within, or across, organizational boundaries. Willingness to train other technicians and travel for training purposes. Must be a team player who is able to work with others constructively, but must be able to perform repetitive tasks independently as required

Technical Skills: Outstanding computer skills, including MS Excel, Word and Power Point.

Self-Starter Motivation: Ability to produce results with minimal supervision
