About the job

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a team that drives testing of highly integrated custom devices going into markets with significant growth potential. The ideal candidate would have a background that includes probe and final test development of complex mixed signal circuits.

We're searching for a proactive problem solver and innovative thinker who can offer new ideas to help solve problems. This engineer must be able to work well with internal/external cross functional teams. Customer interaction will be a critical part of this role as this engineer will be responsible for test development of custom devices. Project management, time management, multi-tasking, problem solving and communication (written and verbal) are important skills in this role.

Responsibilities include:
  • Work with design team to understand design specifications
  • Production test solution development / optimization for Custom devices
  • Leading and solving customer return bench and ATE debug activities
  • Implementation of containment and corrective actions for customer returns
  • Leading the design, development, and implementation of cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting integrated circuits in support of business objectives
  • Leading the design for test fixtures and test boards for complex Mixed Signal ICs
  • Define test entitlement, develop and release test program with planned test times and yield targets for new Custom devices
  • Communication with customer to develop partnership via test excellence
  • Supporting internal/external customer issues related to the test process
  • Developing and documenting test plans, specifications and procedures for testing integrated circuits.
  • Following standard practices and procedures to analyze data for evaluation of test solutions and driving improvement to existing methods
  • Analyze silicon results, supporting failure analysis tasks
  • Perform statistical analysis of yield fallout, debug and fix yield issues; optimize test time


Minimum requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• 3 years of relevant experience as Test Engineer for Mixed Signal Systems

• ATE experience on Teradyne Eagle and iFLEX is required (VLCT and legacy platforms are optional)
• Characterization test program and hardware development experience, Production test program and hardware development experience
• Strong technical knowledge of electronic devices and circuits, and Analog test techniques
• Data analysis skills using Spotfire or Mbayse or equivalent tools
• Experienced with various lab equipment such as scopes, power supplies, sourcemeters, loads etc.
• Strong understanding of the IC product development process, from concept to volume production

Preferred qualifications:


• Mixed signal test techniques and experience with developing mixed-signal tests on TI roadmap testers

• Experienced with Customer interaction during New Product Development and Sustaining activities
• Experienced with test program and hardware offload to TI offshore manufacturing sites
• Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
• Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
• Demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationships
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
• Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
