Operations Leader (Production Supervisor) - 3rd Shift

Job Description Summary

The off-shift Operations Leader will perform the daily operations of plants to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line. Includes Service Shops. Positions requiring understanding of a concepts, methods and procedures. Perform the daily operations of plants to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line. Includes Service Shops. Accountable for the quality of own work. Subject to direct operations supervision/prescribed work instructions/systems checking. Executes within a well-defined operations framework. There is generally a step by step sequence of standard operational tasks which need to be followed to achieve an end result.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Oversight and management of front-line manufacturing employees. Typically managing hourly employee populations.
  • Expected to resolve problems through the application of acquired expertise guided by precedent.
  • Works together with people from the business unit. Contacts are under guidance and/or geared towards specifying activities, planning of activities and giving explanations on technical issues.
  • Communicates with direct team and supervisor.
  • Presents to internal teams on metrics, project status and research.
  • Ability to work in other operations to cover as needed


Required Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role (OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing, 2 of which are/were in a supervisory role OR Military Training)


ELIGBILITY REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability and willingness to work the Off-Shift- 3rd Shift
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime

  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
