Workday Reporting Analyst

Job Description


You will work remotely, with some travel to New York.

About the Role

You will support HRIS Strategy, People Analytics, Workday power users and the broader HR departments in reporting, configuration and integrations in Workday. You will work with our business customers to establish configuration and reporting requirements to help us enhance our processes. Additionally, you will develop Business Intelligence Report Templates (BIRT) to create customized documents to support Recruiting, Talent Development and Compensation. You will also serve as a technical contact for departments assisting in production support including troubleshooting issues, performing system configurations, uploading data, data analysis and testing system releases. You will Develop configuration and testing protocols to help us assure the quality of all deliverables. You have an in-depth understanding of the interconnections within HCM modules and ancillary tools. You will work with the manager to help prioritize work and ensure detailed documentation is kept for all work completed to date.

  • Develop reports and calculated fields that support processes and enhance visualization using a range of tools, i.e. Workday Report Writer, Extend, Prism, and BIRT to name a few.
  • Build custom applications and BOTS
  • Design documents using Business Intelligence Report Templates to meet our standards of excellent user experience.
  • Work and coordinate with third parties on data-related inquiries
  • Maintain data integrity and enforce data mapping across Workday
  • System configuration and support of our HRIS tools
  • Identify control opportunities and implement solutions
  • Resolve user issues
  • Participate in the semi-annual Workday system update process, implementation of new functionality and multiple HCM projects

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical field (Information Technology, Computer Science, Software, Engineering or related technical discipline) or equivalent combination of training and work experience
  • 3+ years of experience in Workday HCM (Configuration Certifications)
  • 3+ years of experience in Workday BIRT report writing (Certifications)
  • 3+ years of experience building executive level dashboards and visually engaging and polished reports. Workday Report Writing Certification (Advanced)
  • Knowledge of Workday implementation tools (BIRT, Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Workday Studio, Workday Report Writer, and iLoad)
  • Understand complex database architecture, tables, functional interactions, and recognize and understand impacts to downstream systems
  • Familiarity with Workday's Extend functionality

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Workday HCM Certified
  • Advanced Workday Report Writing Certified
  • Workday BIRT Certified
