Account Manager

The National Accounts Account Managers administer most all aspects of our relationship with existing and new corporate sponsors. This includes internal/external system set-ups, enrollment files, payments, renewals/contractual documents and communications for groups over 5,000 benefit eligible employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, Implement and Support 2nd sale strategies; serve as a liaison between the business and strategic partners
  • Create effective presentations/proposals and conduct meetings/presentations with new and existing partnerships
  • Responsible for internal/external system set-up relating to account maintenance and maintain internal systems pertaining to plan information; optimize the performance of existing partnerships by determining upgrades in plan coverages and rate structures
  • Responsible for creating and negotiating sponsor renewal strategies to include plan design and rate structure to support sponsor retention; ensure contracts/renewals communicated prior to effective date
  • Cultivate and/or maintain relationships with sponsor, broker, MetLife contact and other external partners
  • Will perform all other duties as assigned

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:


  • Bachelor Degree from an accredited university
  • Ability to multitask and work with a sense of urgency while maintaining attention to detail
  • Detail-oriented and well-organized, with the ability to effectively manage a high-volume workload
  • Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and work independently
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written correspondence
  • Ability to interact effectively with team members at all levels of the organization; Ability to interact effectively with external partners and clients over the phone
  • Ability to travel as needed for client meetings
  • Previous experience in Account Management


  • Knowledge of industry or business
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Understanding of customer relationship management databases
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and other Microsoft Office products including Excel and PowerPoint
