About This Role

Through learning expertise and business knowledge, the Director of Leadership and Management (L&M) Development will guide the development and deployment of an enterprise-wide L&M strategy to drive performance and measurable outcomes across Biogen. The Director oversees a team of L&M specialists focused on implementation of the strategy across the enterprise. In addition to designing the overall approach to L&M development, the Director will also oversees executive development programming and serves as the learning partner for the Executive Leadership Team.

This role can be hybrid, based in Cambridge, MA or RTP

What You’ll Do

-Leadership and Management Development Strategy: Determine Biogen’s learning strategy to support L&M development at all levels. Work closely with Organizational Effectiveness team to determine the leadership and management capabilities or skills needed at Biogen.

-Stakeholder Engagement and Alignment: Partner with HR Leadership, Organizational Effectiveness partners, and Enterprise Learning leads to establish the strategic visionand build high impact developmental programs for leadership and management.

-Executive Team Learning Strategy Development & Program Delivery: Create leadership development strategy and design/update associated programs that align to strategic business imperatives for Biogen’s executive development programs. Plan, develop and/ or implement programs and content to develop leadership skills and improve overall business performance.

-Leadership and Management development Effectiveness: Establishes key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure effectiveness of L&M initiatives, tools and resources and ensure these measures inform future curricula and the evolution of programs. Drive the utilization of data to inform strategy and areas of focus

-Team Management: Oversees a team of leadership and management development partners who tailor the learning programs for leadership and management development strategy within each of the functions.

Qualifications

· 12-15 years of experience in learning and development, organizational effectiveness or operations

·Work experience in international settings with excellent partnership capabilities

· Strong executive presence and presentation skills to interact appropriately with all levels of the organization

· Proven experience fostering teamwork and collaboration, promotes teamwork within and across groups

·Demonstrated ability to influence others and accomplish goals within a matrixed environment
  • Ability to build short- and long-term learning strategies that aligns to business imperatives
  • Experience building curricula aligned to competency models or skills frameworks, gap analyses and measurement strategies

Biogen’s US Alzheimer’s Franchise is looking to recruit proven and ambitious sales achievers with at least five years of experience in pharma, specialty, hospital, med device/capital equipment, and/or biotech sales.
In this field-based, specialty sales representative position you will be called upon to sell our products with key stakeholders in the Alzheimer’s Disease community: including Neurologists and allied health professionals.
