Senior Manager, Global Digital/Multichannel Excellence

Job Description

The Sr. Manager of Global Digital Marketing, Multi-Channel Excellence will be critical in defining and delivering differentiated customer experiences, which is a key transformation goal for Biogen. You will report to the Associate Director of Global Digital Marketing and focus on Biogen’s pipeline assets, functioning as a digital subject matter expert. You will be the point of contact from theGlobal Customer Excellence & Operations (CE&O)to develop industry-leading digital customer engagement strategies. To accomplish this, you will partner with cross-functional groups, including global PDC, medical, market access, corporate, regional/local, and agency teams as required. Your responsibilities will include strategy and solution development, execution, measurement, and in some cases, devolution to affiliates.

In summary, your position will equip Biogen with the digital/multi-channel expertise to better plan for and engage customers, patients, and other key stakeholders, directly impacting Biogen’s ability to help physicians and patients. What You’ll Do
  • Define and drive customer engagement strategy for priorized global/regional functions, including commercial, medical market access, corporate affairs, etc., as part of a unified customer experience platform for pipeline assets
  • Lead collectively across functional groups to create innovative multi-channel digital plans and standard solution design deliverables for execution, and in some cases, devolution to regions/affiliates
  • Use data to optimize customer engagement strategies such as customer centricity, content adjustments, channel mix, and customer journey sequency to improve relevant metrics
  • Identify and help remove organizational barriers to designing and executing integrated campaigns

Who You Are

You are well-versed in digital marketing and have a proven track record of planning and executing multi-channel strategies, innovative campaigns, and programs. You are a forward thinker looking for an opportunity to grow by undertaking a role with visibility and collaboration across business units.


  • BA/BS required, MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years’ previous experience in digital, multi-channel and marketing
  • Experience leveraging digital channel tactics to engage with customers
  • Demonstrated experience creating a vision and strategic plan that influences department initiatives
  • Experience planning, negotiating, and allocating resources, including people and outside spend across a portfolio of brands
  • Ability and commitiment to operate in a highly-regulated environment/industry, which requires compliance with company policies and external regulations
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for presenting to leadership
  • Knowledge in website development, email development and deployment, marketing automation, paid search, SEO, display media, social media and mobile marketing, field applications, 3rd party information, EMR, direct mail, customer insight analysis
  • Travel- up to 20%

In this field-based, specialty sales representative position you will be called upon to sell our products with key stakeholders in the Alzheimer’s Disease community: including Neurologists and allied health professionals.
