Sr. Analyst, Application Development

Job Description
Caremark LLC, a CVS Health company, is hiring for the following role in Buffalo Grove, IL: Sr. Analyst, Application Development to design and develop enterprise software applications and platforms. Duties include: develop integrated solutions for external clients, front end application development, and business operations tools; analyze, design, code, and perform unit testing of the components required to deliver the business need; develop application code using CVSH standards as per the detailed design document, present the code to team members for peer review, and adjust as needed; create and execute on unit test plan to ensure coding changes are operating according to requirements; participate in system testing, where all changes are combined, to ensure that that the full project is functional and there are no unexpected impacts in other areas of the application; review business requirements and create detailed designs for IT solutions; create logical diagrams of solutions, present in a peer review, and gather feedback and modify design as needed, and participate in peer reviews of designs created by other team members; respond to questions from the business team on application functions by researching the application code and data to provide a clear and concise response; refresh application documentation to include functional changes made and to ensure the documentation is in compliant with standards; develop code that utilizing UNIX environment, Java-based code, MainFrame DB2 database, and DB2 and MQ; utilize code analytics, documenting flows, and refactoring; collaborate with cross functional teams including application development, peer reviews, testing, operations, security and compliance and project management office, as well as business customers and external vendors.

Required Qualifications
Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Applications, Computer Information Systems, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in each of the following:
• Java Development for core transaction processing and user interface;
• Developing code that utilizes resources outside the UNIX environment, such as DB2 and MQ;
• Code analytics, documenting flows, and refactoring;
• Java/J2EE and multithreading;
• MVC frameworks, JMS and Web services;
• Front End Web Application Development;
• JSP, JavaScript, and CSS;
• Writing SQL and JDBC;
• Using IDE like RAD or Eclipse;
• Managing application development and supporting on Websphere cluster environment;
• Performing code scan and remediate vulnerabilities (e.g., Veracode, Checkmarx);
• Security needs for the application and application environment (SSL); and
• Monitoring and Logging requirements for applications (e.g., HP Diagnostics).
