Lead Application Engineer - Legal, Complaince, Regulatory Systems

Job Description

As a Lead Application Administrator, this person will manage/coordinate both support and development activities across and array of technologies ensuring successful execution of business processes and delivery of new capabilities. It will require an individual focused on solving various problems while working across a diverse technical architecture. They must be process oriented, with the ability to assess both functional and technical considerations and apply that accordingly. The candidate must be a team player who will bring instant credibility with demonstrated ability to communicate across all levels of the organization. They must be technically astute with the ability to troubleshoot complex applications with multiple integrations. She/he must be a “quick read” in regard to new concepts and technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support day-to-day users’ needs across Lega & Compliance applications and ensure business process execution on the platforms
  • Provide IT System Owner level support across applications to ensure application stability/compliance/maintenance
  • Assist in the process to educate and train legal & compliance user community
  • The Lead Application Administrator, will manage IT Corp Legal & Compliance MSP Support teams to ensure service levels and quality agreements are being followed

  • Working effectively with other teams implementing strategies to increase productivity and overall client experience.
  • Partner with business, technical development, app admin teams for GAP analysis, business requirements, technical development, patch application and ensuring successful delivery of Legal and Compliance projects
  • Ensure processes are continuously followed and refined to maintain stability - execute all activities following organizational controls and processes (i.e. software development life-cycle (SDLC), change management, etc)


  • At least 3-5 years of experience working hands-on providing user support for applications/technologies
  • General technical acumen and experience – experience working across Legal & compliance technology preferred (ebilling, iManage, DocuSign, etc)
  • Experience with SaaS providers and technologies (support and implementation)
  • Ability to quickly understand/learn technical solutions and provide hands on support
  • Proven commitment to customer care, system availability, reliability and issue resolution. This can include off-hours and on-call support to resolve system incidents
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexibility to work independently with minimal supervision, or collaborate on a multi-disciplinary teams
  • Strong understanding of information systems, business processes and measures of success
  • ITIL foundation certification preferred, ITIL process specialty certification(s) desired
  • Experience in a biotechnology/pharmaceutical company a plus
  • Prior experience in GxP systems a plus

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology related field
