Workday People Systems Partner

Job Description

The People Systems Partner serves as a subject matter expert in core HCM processes and design. Will be a major contributor to the design and configuration of Workday processes and tools that result from HR programs, policies, and practices. Will be a subject matter expert on Workday Security Administration, Advanced Compensation and Talent. Will proactively offer expertise to help build and utilize Workday in a way that supports Biogen’s technology roadmap. Acts as a consultant to the organization in understanding the HR data landscape – where data exists, what limitations there may be, and how to manipulate it into actionable information. Guides the HR organization to use Workday best practices and helps to enable self-service through training and enhancements.

Responsibilities:
  • Security Administrator for Workday; Responsible for ongoing configuration and maintenance of all security groups, focusing on efficiency and maintaining compliance. Responsible for Workday security audit controls and procedures, including participation in SOX audits
  • Participates in Year-End Cycle from start to finish and is a core member of the project team
  • Facilitate technology components of major HR processes, including but not limited to, Shared Participation Compensation Planning, Annual Reviews, Calibration and Talent Reviews, providing creative solutions when needed
  • Participates in ad-hoc projects as they arise, and configures HR systems to correspond with global processes, only varying processes when needed to comply with local regulations
  • Oversees Tier 3 production support for Workday and contributes towards the closure of cases
  • Supports and understands existing and new functionality and features within Workday and other key HR technology
  • Is responsible for providing consultative services related to organization structure, ensuring large or executive level changes are reflected correctly within Workday


Qualifications

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of HR technology experience as well as direct experience with Workday HCM (2 year minimum)
  • Ideal candidate will have completed Workday Training related to HCM Fundamentals, Workday Core Concepts, Workday Report Writer, Security, and HCM Transactions
  • Very strong problem solving, time management, and communication skills
  • Experience in creating complex reports a plus (custom reports, calculated fields, dashboard configuration, composite reports, etc.)
  • Excel experience and knowledge a plus
