Your Team:

You will join a team of specialists who support all marketing emails and landing page initiatives for the Standalone Products group: NYT Cooking, NYT Games, Audio, Wirecutter and more. In addition to setting up and launching these assets, your team is an advisor to our marketing and creative groups, on email and landing page best practices.

About the Role:

You will be responsible for developing and deploying front-end creative to support a segmented content strategy to drive conversion. An ideal candidate is deeply familiar with HTML, CSS and JavaScript best practices for targeted experiences. You will have had prior experience in email marketing , and be ready to jump into everything from coding responsive HTML emails to executing campaigns. You should have familiarity in building and executing campaigns via a Content Management System (CMS) and/or personalization tools. You are innovative, efficient and highly collaborative with an unyielding focus on beating goals through iterative learning.

Responsibilities:
  • Gather requirements, test deliverability, prepare and deploy campaigns using Responsys' platform
  • Deploy marketing assets to desktop and mobile properties via content management platforms, using HTML, CSS and ReactJS
  • Maintain best practices for email campaigns & landing pages, and make recommendations
  • Manage successful and accurate deployment of all assets, to ensure campaign performance and support A/B testing projects
  • Manage to execution deadlines and maintenance
  • Troubleshoot and debug collaboratively to resolve coding and trafficking issues
  • Track early post-launch campaign activities, and resolve delivery and any performance problems related to setup


Required:
  • 4+ years of email deployment and coding experience, Responsys Preferred
  • 1+ years of experience in front-end web development, including debugging skills
  • Experience translating technical explanations to non-technical users
  • Excellent client service approach and can effectively handle multiple projects
  • Thrive in a collaborative, team environment
  • Familiarity with website content management systems such as Magnolia, Optimizely, BlueKai, etc.
  • Knowledge of creative A/B testing, media formats and internet technologies
