Job Description

The Executive Recruiter leads the design, development and delivery of effective talent acquisition and diversity strategies supporting the executive hiring needs of a designated portfolio of TD businesses.

Depth & Scope:

Focused on highly specialized, complex executive recruitment assignments in a given portfolio
Works autonomously and accountable for acting as a lead within the executive recruitment function. May provide work direction to others
Develops innovative sourcing and talent attraction campaigns, talent maps, and/or other industry intelligence for the purpose of identifying and recruiting top executive talent in the Banking and Finance industries
Provides seasoned specialized knowledge on sourcing talent from among diverse industry groups
Scope of role may have enterprise impact
Undertakes and completes a variety of complex projects and initiatives requiring specialist knowledge and/or the integration of cross functional processes within own area of expertise

Job Requirements

  • Must be eligible for employment under regulatory standards applicable to the position.

  • Undergraduate degree
    7+ years related experience; experience working in with a retained executive recruitment agency strongly preferred
    Expert knowledge of recruiting and employment practices
    Knowledge of federal and state employment laws
    Extensive recruiting experience in an HR setting or agency required
    Established network of contacts in Banking / financial services and executive circles preferred; strengths developing talent maps, creative sourcing campaigns and other talent intelligence artifacts strongly preferred
    Expert interviewing experience required
    Proven ability to influence and hire candidates in highly competitive situations
    Expert ability to develop optimal relationships with associates, hiring managers and executive management
    Excellent negotiation and facilitation skills
    Excellent interpersonal relationship skills with the ability to develop relationships of trust, respect and credibility both with the external candidate and the internal customer
    Computer literacy and proficiency in common PC applications including internet recruitment tools
    Excellent written and verbal communications skills required
    Proven ability to source passive candidates and ability to build relationships with potential passive candidates for long term placements
    Proven experience and ability to create networks and utilize social media
    Ability to work independently
    Demonstrated experience in capturing data and building a database of market data
    Proven ability to prioritize competing responsibilities and assignments using sound business judgment without loss in productivity
