Packaging Shift Leader
Site Name: Guayama JV Posted Date: Sep 14 2021 As a Packaging Shift Leader you will be responsible for coordinating support for the implementation of production plans and schedules as determined by the Team Leader. The effective coordination of personnel through lines and support group service are also main responsibilities of the Packaging Line Leader, who must ensure that all operations are maintained, under safety, security, environmental and GMP compliance. The incumbent must possess initiative, leadership, broad knowledge of the operation and good interpersonal relationships. These responsibilities include some of the following: Support production meetings to provide lines' status and problems. Support weekend operations in lieu of the Team Leader as required. Verify daily schedule to assign priorities upon discussion with Team Leader. Act as an interface between the operator and the coordination with other department's requests. Prepare daily process performance documentation such as shift summary, downtime reports, and service reports. Assist in providing input to some personnel related tasks (i.e., attendance, performance). Evaluation and preparation of vacation schedules as requested by the Team Leader. Identify and coordinate training needs for operators. Ensure lines continue operation during shift changes and during meal breaks by coordinating operators on staggered breaks as required. Assure that the overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) structures are implemented and working as expected. Assure corrective actions are discussed and implemented on all lines. Coordinate and assign tasks for operators. In general, the Line Leader is responsible for the support of manpower coordination daily, equipment and material to run the process as per requested process flow according to schedule needs. Ensure the availability of material and components in advance for orders by identifying bulk availability (503 WIP warehouse and Main Warehouse), labeling materials and primary components into the Packaging Modules as per PBO. Execute line cleaning verifications. Coordinate lines' breaks to maintain production on priority lines. Assist in the identification and preparation of work orders for area maintenance, calibration and repairs. Assist in the generation of packaging events. Support non-routine requests and QC samples. Actualize and train operators on operational instructions. Ensure production line standards are met. Perform EHS Inspections. Maintain process flow and documentation according to GMP and Quality Standards. Advise and keep the operator informed on all GMP related procedures and all operational deviation that applies. Assure compliance of GMP procedures. Incumbent will accomplish this by monitoring that working areas and operations follow established procedures. Coordinate with Quality Operation inspectors for necessary inspection to components (i.e., printed components). Assure compliance with safety, environmental regulation and safety equipment. This is accomplished by monitoring that working areas and operations follow established procedures. Take measures to exclude from operations any person who might be a source of microbial contamination due to a health conditions following site procedures. Supervises overall sanitation practices and ensures personnel is trained in the sanitation procedures, which include washing hands thoroughly (and sanitizing if necessary, to protect against contamination with microorganisms) in an adequate hand-washing facility:; Supervises and ensures personnel is trained in the processes to prevent contamination of components or products while performing manufacturing operations to avoid potential growth of microorganisms and the potential for contamination.
