WHAT YOU'LL DO

Responsible for designing, implementing and executing a unique Electrophysiology Curriculum for educating Abbott field reps and customers: The Abbott EP Institute provides learners a common ground to develop, analyze and interact with personalized learning plans that drives a competitive advantage for all audiences within the EP space. It creates a clear path for education offered by Abbott EP.

The EP Curriculum Architect will have a thorough understanding of the customer, their needs and the evolving marketplace to ensure sales and clinical representatives are effective in selling to and supporting our customers with Abbott technology. They will be instrumental in the design of EP education programs and adult learning principles to ensure the field organization is prepared to not only engage customers on the features and clinical elements of our products, but also deliver key messages and differentiators of Abbott technologies.

  • In collaboration with multiple stakeholders (Education, ACEs, Sales leadership, Marketing, etc.), develops, implements and facilitates new employee and continuing education programs for Abbott employees & customers.
  • Develops and facilitates the content focusing on clinical competence, technical knowledge, customer understanding, resource utilization and customer relationships.
  • Develops metrics to assess effectiveness of educational programs and quickly implements changes to keep all educational programs current.
  • Understand the process to keep uplive the EP Institute App
  • Understands the process to ensure training materials and delivery strategies are updated and relevant to the needs of our internal and external customers.
  • Ensures comprehensive course materials are maintained online and structured for quick review.
  • Maintains an in-depth knowledge of electrophysiology products, therapies, customers and business objectives to develop, implement and execute continuing education programs for Abbott representatives.
  • Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING

Required
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 5+ years clinical EP experience
  • Competent in working through technical issues, operating systems and managing app base platforms
  • Experience on building medical curricula: Ability to apply the fundamental concepts and practices to conduct needs assessment and design training programs.
  • A previous role in education would be a "+".
  • Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel approximately 20-30%, including internationally.


Preferred
  • Affinity for educating others.
  • Demonstrated ability to explain complex topics effectively and experience developing others.
  • Excellent computer and general IT skills
  • Knowledge of electrophysiology.
  • Ingenuity and willingness to develop creative solutions to complex problems within defined constraints.
  • Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects.
