Selection Analyst - Part Time

Your mission: Help companies raise their level of talent through better hiring decisions.

Working with some of the world's top companies, you'll be their trusted voice for one of the most important business decisions they make - who they hire. As a part-time selection analyst at Gallup, you'll lead phone interviews with our clients' candidates and identify which ones have the talent to drive business performance. With flexibility to work late afternoons, evenings and weekends, you'll interview everyone from accountants to lawyers and from entry-level associates to midlevel managers as you build your expertise in our selection science and discover what it really takes for someone to be a good fit for a role and company. (Hint: It's more than just previous work experience.) Listening for talent clues, you'll analyze interview results and provide the type of powerful feedback that enables our clients to make the best hiring decisions.

Who we want:

Individualized analysts. We look for people who can connect the dots that don't always appear to be related, revealing whether a person's innate talents are a match for a position. Fortunately, you have a genuine ability to understand people, and seeing patterns that others miss comes naturally to you.

Amazing listeners. Without visual cues or body language signs, some people find it hard to understand what people are really saying. Not you. You pick up on everything and hear what someone means even when they don't say it. Your talent for putting others at ease lets candidates quickly open up about themselves, giving you insights into how they most naturally think and act.

Influential communicators. While a key part of your role is listening, another crucial part is synthesizing everything you've heard into a succinct summary for our clients. Your confidence and expertise are evident when you speak and write, making it easy for partners to trust your recommendations even in the toughest hiring calls.

What you need:
  • Must be at least a junior, currently enrolled in college and actively working toward a bachelor's or graduate level degree, preferably in education, business, behavioral/organizational science, communications, psychology or a related field
  • Must be able to commit to working for six months at a minimum of 15 hours per week with the option to work additional hours based on client demands; flexible scheduling Monday-Friday between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday between 6 a.m. and 9 p.m.
  • Access to a quiet and confidential environment to conduct over-the-phone interviews if you choose to work outside of the Omaha Riverfront office
  • Must live within a 60-mile radius of Omaha, Nebraska, to attend meetings and certification trainings in person
  • Eligibility to work in the United States; this position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship
