The objective of the Student Programs at Nexteer Automotive is to selectstudents with high potential and provide them with "real world" work experiences. Work assignments expose students to many of the company's products, processes and procedures. Assignments are designed to assimilateacquired classroom education with actual hands-on work experience in a technical environment. Nexteer North America Human Resources - US Saginaw, is looking for an energetic candidate to come in and support the Hourly Employment Office with various tasks; as a Human Resources Co-Op. The ideal candidate is detail oriented and time management skills.

Job Description:

The Co-Op would be responsible for the following tasks and different day to day activities:
  • Attendance Audits
  • Data Entry and Audits
  • Support Hiring Process
  • Maintain Employee Records
  • Other various activities as the office require

The student would be looked at as a member of the Human Resources team and would be required to keep matters confidential and hold a high-level of integrity when dealing with various situations.

Job Qualifications:
  • Candidate must be attending Delta College or a 4-year university local to Saginaw
  • Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Business or Engineering
  • Must have cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
  • Must be a full-time student (12 or more credits) during Fall and Winter semesters
  • Must be able to work 20 - 32 hours per week during Fall and Winter semesters
    • Up to 40 in the summer
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Must be able to lift greater than 10 pounds
  • Must be able to sit/stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to travel between manufacturing plants
  • Candidate must have right to work in the US and not require current or future sponsorship
