Job Description

The selected candidate will be required to perform condition inspection, in-process and final product inspections for cranes and rigging equipment. Also responsible for ensuring that all requirements of drawings and procedures are met (shipboard, shop, and warehouse). Assist with Quality Improvement Activities. This position will include extensive ongoing training.
The successful candidate for this position will have familiarity with the NNS Crane Program and/or a working knowledge of cranes, crane maintenance, and crane testing. This position does require the successful candidate to be on call for weekend work. Knowledge of basic rigging practices is preferred.

This position requires working at extreme heights and outside in all types of weather, also extensive walking, and having the ability to maneuver steps, and climb ladders.

The position will require operations of equipment such as cranes, JLG's, scissor lifts, and forklifts.

Basic Qualifications

Must be able to work assigned shift as production needs

Preferred Qualifications

High School graduate or equivalent is preferred.

A basic understanding of cranes, their components and the sector's of NNS Crane Program are definite plus

A basic understanding of hand tools
Valid Driver's License is preferred
