Goodman Manufacturing, a member of Daikin Industries is seeking a professional, skilled individual for our Fabrication Supervisor position within at our DTTP - Waller, TX location. The Fabrication Supervisor is responsible for ensuring processes/procedures are followed to build product in a timely manner while achieving safety, cost, and quality metrics to support the achievement of the Company business goals and objectives. Responsible for making recommendations and supporting continuous improvement, 5S and Lean manufacturing concepts, while actively encouraging associate involvement. May include in addition to;

  • Train, instruct, and supervise employees using established production methods to produce a quality product in a safe and timely manner to meet production demands
  • Inspect each line and check the product is being run according to the specifications of the job; take corrective action to resolve problems.
  • Provide work assignments, procure parts, and communicate production demands to employees as well as perform quality and safety audits and generate maintenance requests
  • Help to maintain the shifts safety and training programs to minimize accidents/injuries and to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Meet and or exceed company metrics including safety, quality, cost, and delivery
  • Document and complete production reports, scrap tickets, accident reports, and discipline notices while promoting and enforcing company policies, safety rules and work instructions
  • Utilize accurate measurement tools to track area key indices, to identify unfavorable trends, and to take corrective action
  • Complete required systems work: Mapics, Kronos, Zone etc.
  • Proactively use Lean tools to improve operating efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality and safety results
  • Maintain high employee morale through good employee-management relations and through knowledge of policies where applicable. Recognize and inform higher supervision of hourly employees' capabilities.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Effective leadership skills; able to envision, develop, direct, manage, delegate responsibility and authority and motivate employees.
  • Good computer skills - MS Office Outlook, Excel
  • Strong working knowledge of metal working machinery and stamping presses. - Soft Tool and Hard Tool
  • Knowledge of Production Daikin System and Flexible Manufacturing System (in-house training/certification)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to use good judgement and strong work ethics and integrity on the job
  • Effective problem solving skills in a fast past manufacturing environment
  • Effective organizational and time management skills


• 5 plus years in manufacturing environment, preferably in sheet metal/fabrication
• 2 plus years in a leadership role in a high volume manufacturing environment

  • High school diploma or equivalent, Associates degree preferred
  • PDS/FMS Certification - obtained through in-house training program

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
  • Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations. The manufacturing area has high volume production with forklift traffic. Certain areas may have higher sound levels in which hearing protection is required.
