Operations Manager

Job Description

General Function:

Business Operations Manager will lead the day-to-day activities related to the business. Qualified candidates will be highly motivated, self-starters able to operate both independently and in a team environment. Business Operations Manager will maintain all contract and renewal information as well as incremental additions. The Business Operations Manager will lead and coordinate policy and procedural documentation. This position will drive business process innovation and improvement across the company.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership to pre-sales activities and respond to any inquiries.
  • Review and red-line contract negotiations.
  • Maintain and document contracts, renewals and detailed contract deliverables such as disk space consumption, email activity, etc.
  • Provide leadership for policy and procedural documentation including internal and external audit reviews.
  • Participate in Change Management including representation of business operational directives.
  • Proactively drive business process improvement.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Build and grow functional teams to meet departmental and business goals.
  • Manage, lead, and mentor a team, while creating policies, processes and procedures to support growth.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this class, employees are regularly required to sit; talk or hear, in person and by multi-media; use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate standard office equipment; and reach with hands and arms. Employees are frequently required to walk, stand and move about to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another. Must have ability to ascend and descend stairs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Mental Demands
While performing the duties of this class, employees are regularly required to effectively use written and oral communication skills; read and interpret data, information and documents; analyze and solve problems; use math and mathematical reasoning; learn and apply new skills and information; perform highly detailed work on multiple, concurrent tasks; and interact with Pomeroy employees, Clients and Vendors. Specific incumbent must maintain composure in a fast paced, high quality environment where personal and team accountabilities are the defining factors.

General office environment

Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.


Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required:
  • Minimum of 7 years of computers systems experience, with at least 2 years of experience within an IT management role.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic, entrepreneurial environment to meet aggressive business objectives.
  • Creative, energetic, assertive, self-starter.
  • Demonstrable ability to remotely manage a team of individuals.
  • Excellent leadership, decision making, multi-tasking, organization, and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of previous technology related objectives, initiatives and strategies.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
