Senior Analyst, Insurance Asset Management

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with the Insurance Asset Management (IAM) team to perform analysis and implement investment strategies that help achieve earnings, growth and risk management objectives.
  • Provide enhancements to the Asset Management team's investment analysis using multiple data workflows.
  • Develop and implement periodic portfolio manager risk reports. Partner with risk management as needed.
  • Assist the unit in delivering its quarterly asset allocation and annual investment income targets.
  • Increase understanding of all the asset sectors that IAM invests in on behalf of the General Account (AIC) portfolios.
  • Monitor news, credit results and trends in key sectors and countries.


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required:
  • 1-3 years work experience at an insurance company or financial firm.
  • Strong quantitative skills and knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build partnerships and work in a team environment.


Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience using BlackRock/ Aladdin and Bloomberg systems.
