Job Summary

This position is a direct report to the Technology Product Owner. Business Systems Analyst is responsible for business systems and how they align with user needs. Documents requirements, establishes scope, objectives and determines strategy for implementing systems to achieve business goals including: gathering and prioritizing customer requirements and working closely with business functions to ensure customer satisfaction goals are met.

Job Responsibilities

• Partners with information technology, business and other key stakeholders to define business requirements and suggest improvements to existing business processes.
• Works with Product Owner to plan for product execution, including organizing activities required to achieve Product goals, and garnering engagement from necessary parties.
• Identify and capture business problems and non-functional requirements, and document a desired future state that meets business objectives.
• Supports prioritization of requirements with Product Owner and LOB to meet product goals and objectives.
• Actively monitor and resolve incidents within Service Management Mobile solutions area within a timely manner
• Own quality assurance process of incidents and project requirements by documenting, defining and executing test descriptions

Job Specific Qualifications

Please note this is a multi-level position; the title and level assigned to the successful candidate will be determined by assessing skills, knowledge, related experience, scope and number of projects managed learned through the interview process.

In addition to the requirements below – for a Business Systems Analyst, you must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or Business with at least 2 years of relevant experience within the field. For a Senior Business Systems Analyst, you must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or Business with 5 or more years of relevant experience within the technology field.

Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Business or a related discipline and minimum of 2 years of relevant experience within the technology field or an industry with reliance on technical expertise.
• In lieu of a degree, minimum of 5 years of experience within the technology field or an industry with reliance on technical expertise.
• Ability to work independently on most technical issues. Leading tasks from beginning to end. Utilize a broad knowledge of business analysis, acquired through progressive experience.
• Experience working with SAP Work Management module
• Experience with medium - large sized, simple and/or complex projects by documenting requirements, establishing scope, objectives and determining strategy for testing & implementing systems to achieve business goals including: gathering and prioritizing customer requirements and working closely with business functions to ensure customer satisfaction goals are met
• Work and communicate with a wide range of people – peers, vendors, staff members, broader functional and business leadership, and others. Consistently demonstrate professional, positive, and approachable attitude, demeanor and discretion
• Ability to proactively communicate technical topics in a clear, succinct, and relevant way.
• Demonstrated ability to work through issues independently with successful outcomes
• Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with external constituent groups and customers

Desired Qualifications:
• Advanced degree in Business Administration
• Experience in a team lead role through projects and other work planning experiences
• Strong leadership and influence skills.
