About the job

This position is for a device modeling engineer with an excellent understanding of semiconductor device physics and foundational circuit topologies and analysis. Experience with EDA tools (e.g. Cadence) and SPICE simulators (e.g. Spectre) is required. Experience with Python programming for analysis of large data sets is a must. Working knowledge of statistics and modeling extraction procedures are desirable. This position requires strong communication skills (oral and written), a devoted attention to detail, and excellent analytical skills.

Specific responsibilities include:
  • Interact with analog designers to understand modeling requirements in specific circuit topologies
  • Develop spice models that satisfy analog design needs
  • Work with characterization team to collect device measurements suitable for modeling purposes and validate model playbacks with measured device characteristics
  • Support new data analysis methodologies through the development of custom Python routines
  • Collaborate with device / process development technologists to provide statistical and corner models to support analog circuit designers' needs

Minimum requirements:
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
• 2 years of relevant experience
