Responsible for investigating the quality and durability of components used in devices manufactured by Fresenius Medical Care. Failure analysis consists of components level investigation on parts and assemblies used during production of new devices, as well as returned device investigations. The role of a Sr Technician is to preform High level investigations and provide detailed information/suggestions for improvements to products, polices, and procedures.

  • Under limited supervision, applies considerable failure analysis knowledge to perform a broad range of tasks which include but are not limited to identifying and researching componentfailures and improve product qualityand reliability.
  • Define failure analysis strategy, and recommend corrective actions/fixes
  • Develop innovative techniques and approaches to accelerate failure identification and mechanism understanding.
  • Enter each complaint part/device investigation results onto a failure analysis database.
  • Effectively convey results to management as necessary.
  • Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues and/or in making recommendations.
  • Provide assistance with more complex support tasks that require a higher level of understanding of functions, as directed by immediate supervisor.
  • Escalate issues to supervisor for resolution, as deemed necessary.
  • Provide Direct input for process and product improvement
  • Assist with various projects as assigned by direct supervisor.
  • In tandem with Lead and Supervisor suggestions provide training to juniors on products, polices, and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds, as required, with assistance.

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Associate's Degree in Electrical / Mechanical or related technicalfield Preferred

  • 4+ years' relatedexperience preferred.
  • Ability to perform component level troubleshooting with limited to no supervision.
  • Ability to work on more than one type of machine.
  • Ability to read and understand schematics and assembly drawings.
  • Good understanding of mechanics.
  • Strong oral and written communicationskills.
  • Knowledgeable in structured problem solving.
  • Working knowledge of SAP is a plus.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
