Project Manager -- Supporting Payloads Division


Job Description
BAE Systems is growing - we are hiring a Project Manager - Payloads Division for an exciting opportunity to support the Air Force's acquisition of the next generation Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM). Reporting to BAE Systems' Payloads Division Chief in support of the Air Force, this role is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to support the development and deployment of the next generation intercontinental ballistic missile.

This Project Manager will: track team tasks; create and analyze schedules; create and maintain organizational products; author and coordinate reports; develop briefing materials; manage developmental training planning and tracking; assist with hiring activities; and other special projects including organizational efficiency studies and process improvement.

BAE Systems, located at Hill Air Force Base, Utah are closely aligned to the United States Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center. We support the Center in sustaining the existing LGM-30 Minuteman III (MM III) weapon system and acquiring its replacement, the YLGM-182A Ground-Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD). Pursuant to Government contract, this position requires US Citizenship status.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Demonstrated experience in management of military systems, technology, or research and development activities
  • Excellent cognitive, communication (both written and spoken), and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated self-discipline to plan and prioritize their own work with successful results
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Proactive and creative problem solver
  • Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance (or higher)


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelors degree in STEM, Project/Program Management, or related field
  • Experience leading interdisciplinary teams
