Job Title: Finance - Consolidation/Holdings Group - Analyst/Associate

Job Description:
  • Responsible for the day-to-day and month-end accounting processes for the Firm's Holdings entities (approximately 35-40 entities in total)
  • Recording of journal entries in Oracle and reconciling account balances
  • Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close of the public company
  • Prepare the consolidated financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Partners' Capital, Cash Flows) as well as required footnote disclosures for Blackstone's earnings releases and 10-Q/10-K filed with the SEC.
  • Extensive interaction with other groups throughout the firm (Corporate FP&A, Corporate Accounting, Fund Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Legal & Compliance etc.) surrounding the close process as well as ad-hoc requests/initiatives.
  • Extensive interaction with auditors during quarterly reviews and year-end audit
  • Completion and review of miscellaneous monthly, quarterly and annual regulatory reports
  • Intercompany reconciliations and settlements
  • Ad-hoc requests and analyses

  • Years of experience - Ideally 2+ year of experience
  • Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Accounting
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines.
  • Effective communicator (written and verbal communication)
  • Strong interpersonal skills as the candidate will interact with multiple groups in and outside of the finance organization
  • "Team-first" attitude and collaboration-oriented, with the ability to work independently as necessary.
  • Self-motivated and results driven
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • CPA and Public accounting experience a plus
