Supervisor, Warehouse Ops

Job Overview:

Responsibilities and Task Statements

  • Ensure complete warehouse coverage and coordinate daily priorities to include responsibilities of the Warehouse Staff
  • Prioritize and direct daily tasks and special projects for positions within their warehouse and inventory scope
  • Provide coaching, supervision and feedback to warehouse staff
  • Assist in the development, maintenance and update of departmental procedures and departmental training files as needed
  • Run weekly Expired Goods Reports
  • Investigate all expired goods with End-user or Procurement
  • Facilitate accurate expired goods reporting
  • Maintain min/max info based on usages from expired goods
  • Coordinate Inventory Returns / Damage replacement
  • New Item Set-Up
  • Review and arrange inventory shipments between fulfillment locations
  • Provide leadership and work-related training for Warehouse staff
  • Other duties as assigned

The individual will work in a warehouse environment. Conditions can range from cold in the winter to hot in the summer (2 C to 27 C). Safety guidelines should be followed at all times.

  • Work in extreme temperatures for short periods
  • Some office work required
  • Handle and store chemicals
  • Individual may work sporadically in a cold-room environment

Education/Qualifications:

Minimum Required:

  • High school graduate or equivalent required
  • Certified to operate Warehouse fork trucks and order pickers
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skill level
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.


Experience:

  • 5 year Warehouse / Distribution Center inventory related experience
  • Strong MS Excel Spreadsheet and MS Word Processing skills
  • 4 years experience with Enterprise resource planning (ERP) system or Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) system
  • Fluent English skills
  • Strong analytic skills
