Transformational break-through therapies require activation of the broader healthcare eco-system and strategic partners in order to bring true impact to patients.

The Associate Director, Diagnostics Strategic Partnerships will report to the Director of Strategic Partnerships in the US Commercial Alzheimer’s Org. The role will be responsible for developing the Alzheimer’s diagnostics strategic plan, implementing key partnerships, and maintaining those relationships. The role will require working closely with external partners and with internal stakeholders across the US Organization, including Marketing, Market Access, Advocacy, Medical, Legal and Compliance, as well as R&D and Global to champion and drive execution of key initiatives.

Key Responsibilities include:

· Be the diagnostics expert on the US Commercial Alzheimer’s team

· Develop and refine US Alzheimer’s diagnostics strategy, including PET, CSF, blood and digital, to align with broader US Commercial and Global Alzheimer’s portfolio strategies

· Identify partnership opportunities aligned with the diagnostics strategy

· Manage the contracting process, working closely with procurement, compliance, legal and business leads

· Establish and foster relationships with counterparts at strategic partners

· Lead/manage internal US Commercial diagnostics cross-functional team to support strategic partnership objectives

· Lead diagnostic program operations including forecasting and supply management

· Partner with marketing team to support marketing material development, field training and questions to support the operations of diagnostic partnerships

· Contribute to the development of strategic partnerships capabilities, processes and communications

· Maintain strict compliance with Quality, Regulatory, integrity and company policies

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.

· Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, including progressive roles in the diagnostics industry

· Breadth of experiences across commercial sales, marketing, market access disciplines is an advantage in the diagnostics and biopharma industries

· Proven ability to project manage complex and innovative programs cross-functionally and with external partners

· Ability to clearly and succinctly convey ideas to key internal organizational stakeholders

· Ability to lead within the matrix. Knows how to establish and maintain momentum both through formal channels and the informal network

· Strategic thinker. Understands the origin and reasoning behind key policies, practices, and procedures, as well as how and when to influence for change

· Ability to work independently in executing against multiple strategic projects simultaneously under tight and rapidly evolving timelines

Biogen’s US Alzheimer’s Franchise is looking to recruit proven and ambitious sales achievers with at least five years of experience in pharma, specialty, hospital, med device/capital equipment, and/or biotech sales.
In this field-based, specialty sales representative position you will be called upon to sell our products with key stakeholders in the Alzheimer’s Disease community: including Neurologists and allied health professionals.
