Summary

Facebook is seeking a dynamic team member to fill the role of Analyst, FRL Accounting supporting the Facebook Reality Labs (FRL) business. Our FRL business includes hardware (Oculus and Portal products) and software products. The team's focus is connecting people through our products and expand the ever changing virtual and augmented reality platforms and provide an immersive experience to the end user. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate recording and reporting of inventory and COGS. You will be responsible for month end close activities, including identifying opportunities for improvement and collaborating with cross functional business partners to develop scalable accounting operation solutions. You couple strong business acumen with your accounting background and your excellent communication skills to provide sound advice to your business partners in Supply Chain Management, Operations, and Systems to operationalize new business initiatives. You excel in problem-solving, recommending solutions, and thinking strategically on a process level, while always anchoring your solutions based on a robust understanding of the details. You are an independent and critical thinker, embrace complexity and changes and are experienced in moving fast while solving problems in a scalable way.

Required Skills

  • Establish and maintain an accurate and timely month-end close process for inventory/COGS
  • Drive process improvements by proactively identifying opportunities and partnering with cross functional process owners including Engineering to build and implement solutions for business growth and scalability
  • Support operationalization of new business initiatives by advising on accounting treatment, develop robust accounting processes and controls, including defining requirements and testing of system solutions
  • Own the risk assessment of systems and processes within your function, maintain and ensure compliance with all SOX requirements and support internal and external audit requests
  • Support data analysis and management reporting
  • Other ad-hoc projects


Minimum Qualification

  • 5+ years of relevant accounting experience
  • BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Hardware experience with a focus on manufacturing or logistics
  • Experience with SQL across standard commercial databases or equivalent programming/scripting experience, experience analyzing large and complex data sets
  • Attention to detail with an understanding of the big picture
  • Experience in optimizing or redesigning existing processes resulting from business needs
  • Experience in communicating with cross functional and internal audience with expertise in distilling complex concepts into concise actionable conclusions


Preferred Qualification

  • Experience with Oracle ERP and Essbase
  • CPA/Public accounting experience
