Sr. LVN - Internal Medicine, Westwood


In this role, you will be under the supervision of the Medical Director and Practice
Manager of Internal Medicine. You will be responsible for direct nursing
care, clinic administration, and patient flow coordination. You will also Interact with faculty, residents, patients
and staff to maximize quality of care and customer service to the Practice's
Anti-Coagulation Patients. Administrative responsibilities include ensuring
all clinical protocols are followed; daily operations are maintained and work
with management team to provide ongoing quality of care and service review.

  • CA LVN License with IV certification
  • BLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Excellent blood withdrawal and
    IV skills
  • Ability to accurately screen
    and triage acute patients
  • Ability to recognize abnormal
    laboratory values and report to Physicians
  • Skill in usage of medical
    diagnostic equipment, as well as working knowledge of instruments and supplies
    required to perform clinical procedures and physical examinations
  • Ability to effectively elicit
    salient clinical information such as presenting complaints from patients and
    referring professional, and make appropriate assignments based on established
  • Ability to establish and
    maintain cooperative working relationships with patients, peers, physicians and
  • Skill in listening
    perceptively, conveying awareness and responding to patients and visitors with
    health concerns using tact and discretion
  • Ability to maintain
    confidentiality and to work with sensitive and confidential information using
    discretion and judgment

  • Working knowledge of UC's
    based registration system, appointment scheduling system and order entry system
  • Spanish speaking skills
  • Working knowledge of
    Anti-Coagulation Protocols and related computer based operating systems
  • Working
    knowledge of Computer systems for use in analytical and operational tasks (MS
    Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Working
    knowledge of the physician practice operations
