Job Description:

PARSONS, one of the world's largest engineering/construction/construction management firms, has an immediate opening for a CEI Project Administrator/Project Engineer in the Jacksonville, Florida area.

Seeking a CEI Project Administrator/Project Engineer for Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) work. Candidate should possess a Civil Engineering degree plus two (2) years of engineering experience in construction of major road or bridge structures, or for non-degreed candidate possess eight (8) years of responsible and related engineering experience, two (2) years of which involved construction of major road or bridge structures. A Master's Degree in Engineering may be substituted for one (1) year of engineering experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Administer construction contracts for roadway and/or bridge projects to ensure compliance with contract documents.
  • Manage day to day operations of CEI team ensuring project management plan requirements.
  • Direct and assign specific tasks to inspectors and assist in all phases of the construction project.
  • Read and interpret contract documents including plans, specifications and shop drawings submittals.
  • Ensure verification testing compliance requirements are met.
  • Review and approve progress and final pay estimates.
  • Prepare monthly reporting and/or other status updates as requested by the client or management.
  • Coordinate progress and schedules with all project stakeholders.
  • Receive general instructions regarding assignments; exercise initiative and independent judgment in the solution of work problems and project issues.

Prior FDOT experience highly desired, District 2 experience preferred. Ideal candidate should possess the current FDOT CTQP qualifications listed below:

CTQP Final Estimates Level II

OTHER:

Attend CTQP Quality Control Manager Course and pass the examination.
