We are building a Self Service and Onboarding Tool to support the enterprise Master Data Management application that ingests over 70+ sources. This team will be responsible for streamlining and to move into production a reusable, user friendly and machine learning application that sits in AWS.

We are looking for energetic and problem-solving engineers that can fail quickly and build fast!

You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within United States as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop software applications (both backend and front end) and application components in an agile environment
  • Design, build & deploy performant and scalable solutions by applying engineering concepts like algorithms, data structures and development best practices
  • Contribute to code review process
  • Ensure high quality solutions by design and build unit tests, integration test, load test and user acceptance tests
  • Build methods and tools to automate development activities
  • Software design experience using object-oriented patterns, SOLID, and similar development principles
  • Ability to take on a complex technical problem that is not well-defined, decompose into manageable tasks, provide proper estimates, and lead/coordinate other team members to collective deliver the end solution
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work concurrently on multiple tasks
  • Our vision includes:
    • Centralized Config Store and Config Management UI
    • User Provisioning, Source Provisioning, Feature Flag management
    • Client-Side tooling for profiling data before the data is sent to Enterprise MDM
    • Tooling for profiling data, statistical analysis for new sources as well as on going analysis for existing sources
    • Modernizing the iMDM mappers (reducing the number of mapper applications as well as reduce the cognitive complexity of left of matching)
    • ML algorithm to detect bad data, bad mapping by the sources

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in technical field OR equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of professional work experience
  • 1+ years of experience with server-side development language such as Java or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience with CI/CD development environment
  • Experience working with databases and SQL
  • Experience working with Cloud technologies like Azure, AWS and proficient in DevOps practices
  • Experience with enterprise technologies and principles, such as REST
  • Expertise in designing, deploying, and monitoring a highly scalable microservice based environment

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with Linux and big data technology
  • Experience working in healthcare domain
  • Experience with large product integrations and performance enhancements
  • Software design experience using architecture and design patterns
  • Experience designing and developing scalable data applications using modern frameworks like Spark and big data

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $64,800 to $116,000. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
