Assistant Output Operator, Print Technician - 1st shift

Role Value Proposition:

This role is responsible for IT operations for the print team and sets-up and operates MICR printers, check inserters, folders, and copiers and ensures all outputs are inspected for quality and accuracy and that counts are exact at all times. Will ensure problems are reported to management in timely fashion, assisting in resolution of problems and ensuring internal & external partners receive great customer service via phone, email, and in person. The role will be working 1st shift- 730am-330pm Monday-Friday.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process checks from LNET, Paybase and CA Deliver, IP check printing applications, handling requests for special check processing with quick, precise response
  • Uses time productively, seeking additional work during slower periods and helps others in meeting commitments
  • Maintains all required meter logs, reconciliation logs, postage reports, check inventory logs, etc. ensuring high level of accuracy & attention to detail.
  • Has thorough understanding of all procedures dealing with MA&H cancellations. This includes matching, notarizing, mass certified, and affiant responsibilities; also prepares spoiled postage reports and meter replenishments
  • Occasional local travel may be required to give legal deposition for pending litigation
  • Completes all supporting paper documentation according to USPS regulations. Maintains accurate logs pertaining to the mail presort operation; release & distribute all Hardcopy / Mail; Zip Code Presort Mailing Operation Tags & Supplies

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of check reconciliation and check reprint processes through UCRS/MCRS CICS application.
  • Able to make sound decisions, when necessary, to ensure all commitments are met, taking corrective action with all problems encountered, and see that all Trouble Report tickets are properly written and closed on all hardware and software problems
  • Position includes pushing, pulling, lifting. Lifting can be from 20lbs to 50 lbs. Position is considered light industrial.

  • Knowledge of all check processing guidelines issued by MetLife Treasury Operations
