Primary Responsibilities:
  • Work independently-and as part of a team-to create and implement multi-channel education, marketing and communication programs designed to engage a variety of audiences, including internal/external sales teams, brokers, consultants, employers and consumers
  • Lead content planning for B2B audiences within UnitedHealthcare's Employer & Individual (E&I) business segment. Support includes editorial planning and content development in multiple digital formats (short- and long-form written content, video and audio content, infographics, social media posts)
  • Build content distribution plans that include a focus on paid, owned and earned channels, including websites, email, SEO, content partnerships, sponsored content, native advertising and social media
  • Use KPIs and stakeholder feedback to build engaging content programs that achieve business objectives
  • Collaborate with business line and functional business partners to ensure the smooth flow of communication
  • Develop messaging strategies and communications plans for complex topics facing our external audiences, including communicating technology and platform details related managing health care benefits
  • Lead content strategy for digital engagement initiatives, collaborating with experience design and technology teams to build content-rich experiences that deliver self-service opportunities for external audiences
  • Content development that includes researching and writing short- and long-form thought leadership content, as well as editing the work of other content creators
  • Interview subject matter experts across the enterprise to tell differentiating stories

Required Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree in Marketing, Journalism and Mass Communication or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in content marketing, including editorial planning, digital content development (white papers, articles, videos, infographics) and the ability to use content analytics and insights to drive planning
  • 5+ years advertising/marketing in either a corporate or agency environment; experience in business communications for product/service marketing, sales support and/or customer communication
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years in the B2B marketing space
  • Experience working with clients/organizations in the health care or insurance sectors
  • Experience supporting B2C/B2B marketing and multichannel campaigns
  • Experience in traditional advertising workstreams, agency or client-side

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $94,500 to $171,700. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
