Investment Sales Associate - Institutional Client Group

The Sales Associate will be a shared and dedicated resource to all sales team members in the Institutional Client Group helping identify direct marketing opportunities and obtaining fill-in meetings for scheduled business trips. They will serve as an internal liaison for our relationships (clients, consultants, prospects) taking the day to day requests and ensuring they are routed appropriately. Identifies talent for the future - a stable of professionals who could fill needed roles as firm continues to grow its client base and improve marketing effort - potential development of distribution pieces based on consultant/client/prospect feedback.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the sales and distribution team with day to day workflow:
  • Point person for understanding and coordinating meeting materials; generate target lists
  • Point of presence in office when sales team is traveling
  • Monitor and handle compliance issues (guidelines, trade errors, etc.)

Salesforce management:
  • Maintain and ensure accuracy of Salesforce for use by sales team
  • Handle meeting notes and upload into CRM and distribute to the team

Support the sales and distribution team with filling out trips
  • Leveraging Salesforce to put forward any current client, prospect, or consultant the sales team could visit
  • Leverage MMD to put forward any possible new relationships we could synthesize by area or plan type
  • Identify any under targeted consultants, plans and field branches

Assist with the planning and coordinating of quarterly reviews:
  • Assist with reaching out to clients/consultants to set-up the quarterly review call
  • Coordinating schedules between the sales team and investment team

Ad-Hoc requests:
  • Prepare ad-hoc requests from a client/consultant/prospect either with the investment team, operations, compliance or personally

Due diligence onsite:
  • Sit in to learn and coordinate which investment team member or operations/compliance/IT members will be needed; create agendas

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in the asset management industry
  • Proficient with MS Office (Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Proficient with CRM tools, ideally Salesforce

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance or a related discipline
  • Series 7 & 63 licenses
