Senior Informatics Consultant

Job Description
This is a remote, work from home anywhere in the continental US position.

To develop and deliver decision support tools, reporting applications,
insights and business intelligence based on advanced analyses and studies
to support health care policy, benefits and operational decision making by
Aetna internal and external constituents. This involves extracting, collecting,
analyzing and interpreting health, utilization and financial data from many
sources to address business questions regarding population health
management, health and economic outcomes, quality of healthcare,
healthcare program and product design, healthcare provider network
design and other business needs. These activities require advanced
technical, analytic and consultative skills, extensive knowledge of health
care data and information systems, as well as an understanding of
epidemiology, health care benefits, health care financing and health care
delivery systems.

Required Qualifications
-3+ years knowledge of Large health care database structures and data visualization techniques
-3+ years of Microsoft SQL server and Microsoft Excel
-3+ years of experience taking an analytics solution from inception to implementation by creating the SQL queries and visualizing the data in Excel or other visualization tools.
-Able to translate clinical requirements/expectations to technical requirements as well as be able to explain technical elements in clinically understandable terms.
- Hours are M-F, 8am -5pm, MST.

Preferred Qualifications
-Skill in SAS and Tableau
-Ability to Develop statistical models and advanced visualizations using Tableau

Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Social Science, Healthcare or related discipline.
