Job Description

The selected candidate will install, maintain and remove shipboard temporary services such as ventilation for welding and confined space entry, compressed air lines for pneumatic tools, etc. The job requires considerable walking to and from work areas onboard ships and work in confined spaces.

Newport News Shipbuilding, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, is offering a $500 sign-on bonus to Shipboard Temporary Servicenew hires. Job seekers who apply after August 16, 2021 until December 31, 2021 are eligible for the sign-on bonus. Basic Qualifications

Candidates must able to work at extreme heights or small confined spaces. Must be able to kneel, squat, crawl, bend, stoop, and climb. Must be able to lift 40 lbs and must take and pass a respirator fit test. Must be able to work assigned shift as production needs. Must be able to pass Physical Agility Test.
