Process Engineering Test Lead - Buffalo Grove, IL

We are recruiting for a Process Engineering Test Lead to join our team in the Buffalo Grove, IL location. In this role you will be responsible for the introduction and optimization of PCBA in-circuit testing lines into our Third-Party Manufacturing facility. You will provide technical leadership, project management and mentoring to engineers and team members.

  • Leads and participates in design, planning and introduction of PCBA test systems.
  • Drives activities at the equipment supplier(s) to ensure that production start-up through to scale up to increased volumes are achieved within ADC requirements.
  • Directs the works of technical, Validation and less experienced engineering staff.
  • Interfaces with product team members, department managers, designers/equipment manufacturers, ADC R&D, quality and regulatory personnel.
  • Represents department/ division on projects.
  • Controls and implements any relevant engineering changes.
  • Independently design and lead complex engineering studies and experiments often with multiple variables.
  • Analyze complex problems and identify their impact using statistical analysis of measurement results.
  • Set complex design and process requirements.
  • Responsible for completing documentation in a timely manner and in accordance with business standards.
  • Lead and/or participate on cross-functional teams to support organizational goals.
  • Project related travel is to be expected - approximate 25-30%.


Required :
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science) or related discipline
  • 6+ years of progressive experience in a similar role/similar responsibilities within a regulated environment (aerospace, pharmaceutical, medical device, etc.) including development, procurement, installation, testing and calibration of instruments, equipment and/or working with control devices required to test, and record test data
  • Previous experience electronic testing, measuring voltage currents, and/or design of electronic circuits
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
  • Ability travel 25-30%, including international travel

  • Advanced level degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science) or related discipline
  • Medical device experience
  • Programming experience with C, C#, and/or Java
  • PCBA/PCB testing
