Job Description
Possesses a strong understanding of utilized equipment, considered a subject matter expert in Crane and Rigging. Operates cranes in accordance with OSHA, AMSE, and regulatory standards, and site policies. Inspects Cranes, and Rigging as per site inspection procedure and completes daily inspection checklist. Ensures safety policies are adhered to and safe work practices are utilized by all department personnel and visitors. Wears personal protective equipment (PPE) as required at all times. Main responsibility will be to lift and manipulate material/parts safely to support production and site, using overhead cranes and forklift.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • HS diploma or GED with a minimum of 2 years of Crane Operator experience working in a large manufacturing facility, or industrial.
  • Successful completion of mandatory forklift training
  • Basic Excel and Email knowledge
  • Ability to operate a variety of equipment used to move and transport materials of all types and sizes, including forklifts with 10,000 lb. capacity
  • Must be able to stand for long periods, stoop, bend, reach, climb, walk substantial distances and lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Capable of rigging cables, chains, or other equipment when moving heavy and cumbersome equipment.
  • Must be proficient with hand signals associated with rigging trade, and material handling equipment per regulatory standards and site policies
