Learning Consultant

Job Description
Consults with organizational leaders and work groups to develop complex, specialized learning strategies to improve organizational performance. Conducts performance analysis to determine the expectations and gaps for the intended audiences. Uses formal instructional design methodology to design and develop sophisticated, complex and/or enterprise-wide, performance-based training and educational tools. Use multi-media learning methodologies to create state of the art rapid e-learning interactive learning experience an adult learner audience. Simultaneously manages multiple, complex projects. Develops and conducts follow-up assessments to determine the effectiveness and ROI of training programs. Applies instructional design concepts and methodologies to evaluate and analyze the design integrity of training projects/programs/curriculums. Works in partnership with the business to deliver state-of-the-art, technology-based training tools and programs that meet the needs of multiple, diverse audiences. Acts in a lead or project manager capacity to facilitate the completion of complex projects that include multiple sub-projects and assumes a leadership/coaching role with trainers and less senior staff. Communicates regularly with local/regional training delivery staff to manage the rollout of training materials and gather feedback on program effectiveness. Incorporates feedback gathered from participants and other relevant audiences to improve training, processes and products. Supports the development of skills within Aetna Medicare/Medicaid learning community by managing and participating in the design, development and delivery of state-of-the-art learning methodologies and practices.

Required Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years in learning and performance management

Preferred Qualifications
Superior knowledge and application of performance-based instructional design methodologies, adult learning principles, performance consulting, project management and educational media desired. Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with people at all levels of the organization. 3 years of previous managed care or related business experience.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
