About This Role

The Director, Global Communications in Alzheimer’s Disease is accountable for the development and implementation of a globally integrated corporate affairs communications strategy with a focus on Alzheimer’s Disease and ADUCANUMAB. The incumbent will be responsible for Global regulatory filings, Global Publications and congresses, Global Post Marketing Requirement study as well as issue and crisis management. S/he will also be responsible for the development and implementation of communication strategies for Biogen’s Alzheimer’s portfolio. This position is high-profile within the organization and requires strong collaboration and networking across our matrixed organization. As a member of both the Alzheimer’s Disease Business Unit team and Global Corporate Affairs team, this role will work closely and cross-functionally with Global Corporate Affairs, Europe, Canada and Partner Markets (ECP), and Biogen’s Intercontinental Region (BIR). What You’ll Do
  • Drive integrated corporate affairs/brand communications strategy that raises the profile of Biogen’s Alzheimer’s program
  • Align with Global Corporate Affairs, including digital, media and advocacy leads
  • Identify communication strategies to support business challenges and opportunities
  • Work closely and effectively with compliance, legal and regulatory colleagues
  • Develop measurable goals to understand impact of communication strategies
  • Lead direction of agency partners and present strategic plans to senior leaders

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10+years of professional experience in a variety of corporate affairs disciplines
  • In-depth understanding of media strategy
  • Experience integrating communications with advocacy, digital and government affairs
  • Strong business acumen with a solid background in healthcare/pharma/biotech industry
  • Ability to develop strong relationships across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Executive presence to articulate, defend and adapt communication strategy to senior leadership

Education:

Bachelor’s degree required; Masters in Communications or Marketing preferred

Biogen’s US Alzheimer’s Franchise is looking to recruit proven and ambitious sales achievers with at least five years of experience in pharma, specialty, hospital, med device/capital equipment, and/or biotech sales.
In this field-based, specialty sales representative position you will be called upon to sell our products with key stakeholders in the Alzheimer’s Disease community: including Neurologists and allied health professionals.
