You’ll make an impact by…
  • Defining future talent architecture products and services by identifying organizational needs by designing career architecture related products/services; and planning short-term and long-term approaches for career architecture transformation.
  • Providing job design and job valuation services for Walmart by continuing to ensure accurate job descriptions and job evaluations for compensation related activities; and working with the Legal Department on questions and issues related to job description content.
  • Providing strategic leadership and direction for Talent Architecture on advisory work related to - future of work, job evaluation, job design and career architecture in alignment with the organization strategy; and providing advisory on socializing and capability building for future of work and job design projects.
  • Designing and developing global career architecture framework for the enterprise by ensuring a common, consistent way of looking at functional competencies and talent across the organization; and overseeing the global approach to creating job family groups and functional competencies.
  • Overseeing transformational projects across the enterprise (US businesses and International Markets); and guiding the team build the functional competencies of the future by working with cross-functional stakeholders across the enterprise (including all international markets) on understanding the operating model of the future to articulate future functional competencies.
  • Representing the company regarding talent architecture practices in the popular press and professional conferences by ensuring the company's best interests are recognized and represented; and representing Walmart on third party requests for information on approach to job architecture and functional competency management.
  • Providing overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs; developing, communicating, building support for, and implementing business strategies, plans, and practices; analyzing costs and forecasts and incorporating them into business plans; determining and supporting resource requirements; evaluating operational processes; measuring outcomes to ensure desired results; identifying and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; promoting a customer environment; and demonstrating adaptability and sponsoring continuous learning.
  • Cultivating an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics by integrating these values into all programs and practices; developing consequences for violations or non-compliance; and supporting the Open Door Policy.
  • Developing and leveraging internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals by sponsoring and leading key community outreach and involvement initiatives; engaging key stakeholders in the development, execution, and evaluation of appropriate business plans and initiatives; and supporting associate efforts in these areas.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Psychology and 7 years’ experience in job analysis/valuation, Human Resources, Psychology, or related field.
  • Option 2: 9 years’ experience in job analysis/valuation, human resources, or related field.
  • Professional Human Resources (PHR) certification
